So I came back from San Francisco last week to attend GDC (Game Developer's Conference) there. It was pretty chill. Got a lot of great feedback from a wide variety of players there, as well as awesome leads with some big people I can't even say anything about yet! Crazy cool. Also, GDC's atmosphere >>> typical anime/comic con atmosphere. Forealz.

Why I Draw Women OftenI recently got a message, and I will slightly reword it so as not to cause profane friction, nor will I state who it came from, but it read like this: "Why is everything you post regarding a woman? I think it's very sexist when the only thing you can draw are breasts and buttocks like it's the only thing in the world."
Okay, so by now, if you haven't been watching me for a good minute, you know that I really like to draw women, and I like portraying the female form, usually and often in a tasteful manner. I could hypothetically end that question there and just answer "I wasn't aware everything in my gallery was a woman or had breasts and a butt" and then post a picture or two of Rai Rivet... But I'm not going to do that. I'm going to explain my stance on drawing the female form and my adoration for it.

30 Hours Left... Then GAME TIME.Man, things are getting back like the first day we launched the Kickstarter… Well, I'm personally blown away at the response. The team is blown away at the response. THANKS A MILLION.
For everyone that has contributed even a dollar, you guys have done so much for us and gave us the push to make Cryamore a reality. By this time next year, there's gonna be a fresh new series about to launch.
I want to also personally, again, thank Alan, Aivi, Surasshu, Ryan, Brandon, Koki, Kinuko, Jordan, Chris, Camila, Erica, Marianne, Kimlinh, Judy, JC, and EVERYONE who have shown their support thus far by sharing the game, making art, telling us wonderful feedback on the game so far, and just being overall awesome people. Exposure, Getting Better, & Having the ChopsEXPOSURE & GETTING BETTER AT WHAT YOU DO
I'm only going off of my own personal experiences talking about these few things. (And I'm not specifically talking about ONLY dA here.) So take it with as many grains of salt as you can.
I've recently been asked questions like "How do I get people to see my work?", "Why am I not receiving commission inquiries?", "Why isn't anyone following my work?", "What can I do to get better?". Often, and I answered it before, the answer is as simple as this:
Create.
Create, as in, DRAW. PAINT. RENDER. SCULPT. You have to do develop a tolerance (or the obvious definition: LOVE) for creating if you want exposure and to get better. You have to LOVE the drawing or illustration that you HATE how it came out in the end. You have to ask yourself after every piece, what could I have done to do that differently. And you have to do this frequently.

On January 25, 2013, Google Image Search Engine introduced a new format for showing image search results to online users. This format shows full resolution images on Google's Image Network.
Why it is bad for users ?

Tech HelpAny chance someone here has internet/computer know-how that could provide some assistance? One of the main reasons (besides school work and work in general) that I haven't been able to reply to much messages recently is because of this error that's been hindering me from accessing different sites, or messing up the pages like so:

When your favourite artist just pisses you offSorry I just have to make a rant journal I'm so disappointed.
Do you know that feeling when you have a favourite artist and you really would like to find out more about their techniques like for example how they color their stuff? Well I do, more than one actually, and I think it is pretty annoying when people don't want to tell you ANYTHING about how they work. No WIPs, nothing. I can understand that many people are scared of getting copied, yes, but then please SAY SO. You know, recently I asked an artist I like for some WIPs because the person never shows any Progress pictures when he/she is coloring and I thought it was pretty weird that that person only posts photos of their FINISHED drawings or finished sketches, but never anything in between. I was just really interested in how they shade so smoothly. But that's not really what made me so disappointed. Instead it was the fact that that person first replied that he/she doesn't have time to make a detailed tutorial and then I said

So we launched Cryamore's Kickstarter late Friday evening, met our goal in 56 hours, and we're now just passing up our first few stretch goals, at $83K. The response has been unbelievable so far.

So now that we know that we're going to make this happen, the team and I are getting back to working on the game. I wanted to thank all my watchers here on dA for spreading the word around & supporting us into making this dream come true for all of us. Hopefully, Cryamore is just that game you've been dreaming about coming along as well.
