I never done this before, but decided I should. Here's a PSD showcasing how I go about with my colors. I've chosen this image since I already written up a tutorial and such for you to follow along with. Hopefully this will help you in your studies!
RIGHT-CLICK DOWNLOAD THE PSD TO VIEW!
*You obviously must have Photoshop in order to view this correctly.*
Quick note while I'm trying to figure out all the layers and how it slots together (Ye gods I wish I could do this! )
As it is, when I first loaded it there seemed to be a checker effect on the ground. At first I thought one of the layers was turned off, but they were all on. I added a new layer at the bottom of the pile, filled it with white...bam. Checkers were gone and it looked like the final image. Just as a heads up, it might confuse others as well
And query; those layers with a little downward arrow, what are they? I never did explore further into Photoshop's layer workings, heh. I guess I'm missing something. Awesome job as ever man.
