For those who haven't been following the blog, Alan and I decided to do all architectural elements of the environments in 3D first. We laid everything out in sketch format, came up with the building stylings, and then Alan took it to Maya and modeled each building and prop. We then laid it all out to our original sketches.
Now it's time to illustrate and render it.
Cryamore is an indie action-adventure game that and myself are making on the side. Check the Dev Blog out for it!
tight responsive controls. No issues with the camera. I'm worried and excited at the, same. Damn. Time!
Alan and myself is very OCD when it comes to the gameplay, haha. I still play the old school stuff enough to reference from.
At least that's how we went about this. We didn't want to just create a town and have the people give it life but have the town itself seem like it has a personality of its own. Hopefully it came through enough!
The broken down buildings are for town repair side quests. So up to the player, those will be eventually available as well.
The size of it looks just right for getting around as well, and unlike many RPG's, the houses are actually to scale and not randomly enlarged when the character enters it.
We don't need help at the moment but for now, you can tell people about it and share it! We'll need all the support we can get for it.
Thanks for the kind words and I'm happy that you're excited as much as we are for it!
