Esmyrelda Maximus Statue - Prototype by Robaato Esmyrelda Maximus Statue - Prototype by Robaato
Here are a couple of photos of the actual limited edition 3D Printed Esmyrelda Maximus figure! She's at 1/7 scale, and she stands approximately 9.5 inches tall.

I have no words other than "awesome". O_O

Both of them are off to be mass-produced right now! For those who missed out on the Kickstarter for the game I'm working on with some great people, and couldn't get either the Bliss or Esmy figure, will be able to do so soon. We will have a few extra pieces printed, and will offer preorders for them. Just a heads up: she will cost around $150 each with shipping included, and will not be printed again, and that'll be the ONLY time one would be able to get one. We'll have information on preordering real soon.

Pretty cool I will admit, but if you or someone else could enlighten me, I've never understood why these kind of statues are so damn expensive.

Size, material, producing, reproduction, painting, packaging, shipping… Yeah, pretty much all those reasons.

Ahh, makes sense. I was under the assumption import costs for some I have seen online might shoot the price up too.

Yeah, imported products are definitely also a factor for majority of figures out there~

simply learn 3D modeling in either 3D Studio Max, Maya, Zbrush or any other major modeling program. then contact a 3D printing company and they can print out a model for you depending on size and whatnot. there are a TON of 3D printing companies out there as well as a few "desktop" 3D printers available out there for purchase.

-OR-

you can send a drawing to some of those aforementioned 3D printing companies and they will even model the character for you! www.the3dprinterexperience.com…

Preeeeety sure this isnt actually the 3D printed version, but simply a 3D version ready for printing... It looks a little too clean and artificial to be real.

Still amazing though

I'm so ludicrously jelly. I wish I could learn how to do that. But everything I'd have to put aside to study digital sculpting is too high a price to pay...

Still, again, it must be amazing seeing your creation in physical form like that. It inspires me.
