Commission for :icondrofdemonology: of his character for his Planescape novel, Ceraline Ambrosia Oceanus.

Had fun with this one, had to plug into my concept/character design systems to crank this one out.

Sword is made of obsidian and snowflake obsidian, interesting concoction of material...

Legend of Mana OST. Nice. :D

Also, excellent piece!

How is the Cintiq, BTW? I'm thinking my next comp-tar investment will be a new tablet, so I'm feeling around for recommendations.

Looks really good. I especially like her distinct looking face; it looks like it was inspired by someone real as opposed to the typical way you draw faces (which isn't a bad way, of course). The coloring is phenomenal of course and the design of her outfit is very strong. The only thing bugging me is the way she's holding the sword. It doesn't look like it's resting on anything so it comes off as if she's merely holding it suspended like that, which would be uncomfortable even if the sword were lightweight.

Well, Ceraline wouldn't be holding the sword like that for more than a few seconds anyway ;)
